Chilko Lake

Location:  100 miles southwest of Williams Lake, British Columbia

Lake Size:  180 Sq. Kilo.

Fishing Species:  Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Whitefish, Bull Trout

Lake Notes:  Chilko Lake is 65 km long.  Chilko Lake is the largest natural, high-elevation freshwater lake in North America.  Chilko Lake features crystal clear water and is surrounded by extraordinary mountain scenery.  Located within the Ts'yl-os Provincial Park.  Chilko Lake plays host to the third-largest chinook/sockeye salmon run in BC, from August through October.  Max depth of 365 m, avg. depth of 108 m.
